Next weekend, the families and friends of those that have died in custody will once again gather to remember their loved ones.
The fourteenth annual gathering of the United Families and Friends Campaign remembering those that have died in (police, prison and psychiatric) custody will take place on Saturday 27 October. On the day, a number of families (including the families of Sean Rigg, Ian Tomlinson and Mark Duggan) will hand in a letter to Downing Street.
Last year, the annual gathering saw additional families and friends join the march, following the recent deaths of Kingsley Burrell, Smiley Culture, Jimmy Mubenga and Mark Duggan. They joined the stalwart families of those who died many years ago, who march year after year to remember their loved ones.
The Coalition was founded in 1997 following the deaths in custody of Joy Gardner, Brian Douglas and Shiji Lapite and also includes the families (amongst others) of: Roger Sylvester, Leon Patterson, Rocky Bennett, Mikey Powell, Alton Manning, Aseta Simms, Ricky Bishop, Paul Jemmott, Harry Stanley, Glenn Powell, Jason McPherson, Lloyd Butler, Azelle Rodney, Sean Rigg, Habib Ullah, Olaseni Lewis and Demetre Fraser.

Its a very big shame.that these law enforcement agencies with the amount being paid to them compare to other places in the world continue to kill innocent people. A current reports states the british law enforcers get paid on average nearly 5 times more and have not records of vatal death of a british immmigrant. Some of these employees should not be working in the first place.
