A one-day exhibition taking place looking at culture and contemporary art in the city of Malmö, Sweden.
- Sunday 26 April 2015, 2-8pm
- A_SPACE, 38 Pentonville Road, London N1 9HF
The exhibition features work by artists’ and creatives living in Malmö, ephemera, a talk (4pm) with artist Lisa Nyberg, (who has worked with the IRR to expose the plight of refugees), and a short documentary shot in the city.
Lisa Nyberg is a visual artist based in Malmö, Sweden. From 2006-2011 she ran Malmö Free University for Women (MFK), a feminist art and educational space with Johanna Gustavsson, developing a long-term collaboration on radical pedagogy.
Nybergs’ current research aims to articulate an artistic methodology at the intersection of performance and pedagogy. She is also part of the initiative for making Malmö a safe haven for artists.
