Dear IRR News subscriber,

This week, the April issue of Race & Class is out, which assesses popular debate around the far Right in Europe. We also provide overviews of racist violence, convictions and far-right terror attacks in Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK over the first three months of 2014. And Phil Miller shows how a new report by the prison inspector gives the full picture of deportations from the UK, including African asylum seekers being deported in leg restraints and paper suits.

In news from across the UK, an Old Bailey jury has found Nicky Jacobs not guilty of the murder of PC Keith Blakelock during the Tottenham riots in 1985. The mother of Mark Duggan, who was shot dead by police in north London, has been granted the right to challenge the verdict of the inquest into his death. And two police officers could face criminal charges over suspected perjury and perverting the course of justice during the inquest of Sean Rigg, who died in police custody in 2008.
