This week, in news from across the UK, nearly 3,000 students at the London Metropolitan University are facing an uncertain future after the UK Border Agency revoked the university’s licence to take on non-EU students.
It has also been announced that the public inquiry into the death of Azelle Rodney who was shot by police in north London in April 2005 will start on Monday 3 September seven years after his death.
There are also a few events in the next week that you might be interested in, Medical Justice is holding a meeting on deaths in immigration detention and there will also be an event to highlight the 2003 US-UK extradition treaty currently affecting British citizens Talha Ahsan, Babar Ahmad, Richard O’Dwyer and Gary McKinnon.
