Dear IRR News subscriber,

This week, we have reports on new Medical Justice research on the mistreatment of pregnant asylum seekers and a forthcoming vigil to mark the fifth anniversary of the death in police custody of Habib ‘Paps’ Ullah. And you can now listen, in full, to the first ever Race & Class radio show.

The news this week has been dominated by the fall-out from revelations by the Guardian about undercover police officers and their actions against anti-racist campaigns in the 90s, which included spying on the Lawrence family and fishing for evidence against Duwayne Brooks. Janet Alder, the sister of Christopher Alder has also voiced her concerns that police investigated her family too. And finally, the family of Mark Duggan have been denied a judicial review of police protocol in relation to the shooting of Mark Duggan.
