In news from across the UK, a major report commissioned by the Metropolitan police in to the policing of mentally ill people has found that those with mental health issues complained of being ‘treated like criminals by the police’ and that ‘too much force’ is used.

Stoke City FC has launched an investigation after a pig’s head was found in the locker of a black player.

IRR News is monitoring the situation nationally following the murder of a soldier in Woolwich, the English Defence League has marched on the town and mosques have been attacked in Braintree and Gillingham.
