Dear IRR News subscriber,

This week we have a report on a meeting held by police to report back on their collaboration with the UK Border Agency on Operation Nexus and we also have a report on a police operation in Woolwich following the murder of Lee Rigby.

And news from across the UK, police have launched an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse at Yarl’s Wood removal centre in Bedford by a guard from the private company, Serco, which runs the centre. And prisons in the UK have been described as ‘holding pens’ for foreign nationals who have served their sentences and are awaiting deportation.

Finally, the inquest into the death of Mark Duggan has started and will last for approximately three months, you can follow proceedings on the website.
