This weekend families from across the UK will match on Downing Street to protest at the increasing numbers of deaths in custody.
The annual march is organised by the United Families & Friends Campaign, which is coalition that campaigns for those that have died in the custody of the police and prison service and secure psychiatric hospitals.
This is the thirteenth year that the event has been held and families joining the march will include those of: Roger Sylvester, Leon Patterson, Rocky Bennett, Alton Manning, Christopher Alder, Brian Douglas, Joy Gardner, Aseta Simms, Ricky Bishop, Paul Jemmont, Harry Stanley, Glenn Howard, Mikey Powell, Jason McPherson, Lloyd Butler, Azelle Rodney, Sean Rigg, Habib Ullah, Olaseni Lewis, Smiley Culture, Kingsley Burrell, Demetre Fraser and Mark Duggan to name but a few.
Assemble at 12.30pm on Saturday 29 October 2011 at the south side of Nelson’s Column, Trafalgar Square, (London WC2N 5DN) to proceed silently along Whitehall followed by noisy protest at Downing Street.
