The Edge Fund, a group working for justice and equality, is calling for new applications to its fund.
The Edge Fund is inviting new applications from individuals and grassroots groups, in order to support projects which are relevant to communities campaigning on discrimination and injustice. Grants will be given to groups and individuals working for justice and equality, and particularly those with the lived experience of the issues they’re working on and those working for systemic change.
The Edge Fund is dedicated to devolving the power of funding donors and creating a space for real and systemic social change at the community level. Previous grants have included the Anti Raids Network, Tottenham Rights, International Federation of Iraqi Refugees, JENGbA, the Lesbian Immigration Support Group and the London Coalition Against Poverty. Typically, the Edge Fund supports small groups that struggle to get funding elsewhere. The Edge Fund is also looking for new members for its network who will decide together which applications receive funding.
To apply for funding of up to £5,000 applicants must complete five questions, which can be found online here. Applications must be submitted by Monday 8 September 2014, 5pm.
